We do it because it is one of the most incredible feelings to watch people discover, learn and cultivate their talents. Whether it is through observing, teaching or simply preparing a meal, this period of time is intoxicating and we are quiet frankly addicted to how great these workshops make us feel.

"I left the Hill Workshop in Vermont inspired as much by the work accomplished and the knowledge gained, as by each thoughtfully prepared meal and the friendships formed. I can't help but wonder where the next Hill Workshop will take place. What timeless place? Will it be a wooded setting with lessons around a stone table with moss and lichen underfoot? Deep in an orchard with the kicked-up dust of a perfect dirt road settling in the late afternoon sun? Along with the experience of learning a craft from an inspiring team of instructors, are the memories of place, shared meals, evening light and morning fog – lasting images that we will all carry with us for years to come."

"I am so glad I decided to attend the Hill Workshops. What more could you ask for? A beautiful setting, a wonderful host, amazingly gifted and generous teachers, and the opportunity to work alongside (and befriend) interesting hardworking creatives from all over the world. This made it the perfect hub for learning, growing and opening up a whole new world of creative possibilities."

"The Hill Workshop in Vermont was such an incredible experience. By building on the pre existing knowledge of our DSLRs and still image composition the instructors were able to provide a seamless transition into giving our stories motion through video. Everything about the workshop was so meticulously chosen from the locations, to the food, to the timeline, it was a gorgeous and easy setting to create in. I found myself not only learning from the instructors but networking and connecting with all the other attendees as well. Of course I was over the moon with the knowledge I gained about filmmaking, but really, the highlight of the workshop for me was the food, the meals, Nadia's hospitality; every meal she thoughtfully prepared was such a treat. This isn't a classroom lecture, you are not going to take notes on how to make films that look like the instructors, The Hill Workshops are a place to nourish your creativity, to provide you with the opportunity and the time to try out equipment, and styles, to find the voice you already have, and to make it move."
